Provenance. Diminutif anglo-saxon d'Elisabeth. Vient de l'hébreu "elîsaba" Signifie : "Dieu est plénitude". Se fête le 17 novembre.
Histoire. Fille d'André II, roi de Hongrie, Elisabeth est mariée à Louis IV, duc de Thuringe, en 1222. Un amour exceptionnel les unit. Elle aura trois enfants, mais se retrouve veuve très jeune. Chassée, dépouillée par les vassaux, séparée de ses enfants, elle se réfugie dans une porcherie, prend l'habit de religieuse et va soigner les malades. C'est parmi eux qu'elle meurt en 1231, à l'âge de 24 ans.
Caractère. Sentimentales, douces, affectueuses, ce sont des séductrices innocentes. Travailleuses, elles vont toujours au bout de ce qu'elle entreprennent. Accueillantes, d'esprit très ouvert, ce sont des optimistes qui voient le bon côté des choses. Elles sont attentives aux autres. Ce sont d'excellentes confidentes, mais elles sont pudiques et n'extériorisent pas leurs sentiments.
