Provenance. Diminutif et forme féminine de Brandan. Vient du celte "bran", signifie : "corbeau" Se fête le 16 mai.
Histoire. Saint Brendan est l'un des Saints les plus populaires d'Irlande. Né vers la fin du Vème siècle, il se fait moine, fonde une abbaye en Pays de Galles, devient abbé, puis évêque. On le dit grand voyageur. Il aurait embarqué avec 17 moines et visité l'Islande, les Antilles, les Açores bien avant Chistophe Colomb. Il meurt vers 580.
Caractère. Ce sont des aventurières qui ont besoin d'espace pour se réaliser. Elles se plaisent dans l'action. Créatives, novatrices, elles sont parfois difficiles à suivre. De nature simple et pratique, spontanées, elles font facilement confiance au risque même d'être crédules. En amour, elles aiment aussi le changement, comme dans la vie.
