Provenance. Forme anglo-saxonne de Brigitte. Vient du celte "brigh", signifie : "force" Se fête le 23 juillet.
Histoire. Sainte Brigitte naquit en Suède au XIVème siècle et eut huit enfants, dont Catherine qui sera canonisée. Elle est la fondatrice de l'ordre du Saint Sauveur en 1363 et l'auteur de sept cents révélations reçues du Christ ou de la Vierge. Elle meurt à Rome en 1373 de retour d'un pélerinage en Terre Sainte.
Caractère. Ce sont des "battantes" qui défendent l'égalité de la femme par rapport à l'homme. Ce sont des femmes volontaires et courageuses qui cultivent leur liberté. Assez réservées mais très sociables, elles aiment recevoir et s'entourer d'amis. Leur féminité et leur charme sont des atouts pour réussir.
