Provenance. Vient du latin "donatus" Signifie : "donné" Se fête le 24 mai.
Histoire. Donatien et Rogatien, son frère, sont morts martyrisés à Nantes, au IIIème siècle. Ils refusent tous les deux d'apostasier leur foi nouvelle. Deux croix, rue Donatien, à Nantes, indiquent le lieu de leur martyre.
Caractère. Très actifs, ce sont des risque-tout. Entêtés, il n'est pas aisé de les faire changer d'avis. Travailleurs, volontaires, ils trouvent leur motivation dans leur ambition. Leur autorité naturelle les conduit généralement vers des postes à responsabilités. Consciencieux, honnêtes, précis, il est difficile de les prendre en défaut. Attentifs et accueillants, leur compagnie est agréable.
