Provenance. Forme anglo-saxonne de Donald. Vient du celte "da et Noal" Signifie : "bon et Noël" Se fête le 15 juillet.
Histoire. Donald est un heureux époux et père de neuf filles, en Ecosse, au VIIème siècle. Mais après le décès de sa femme, il n'aura pas le souci de les marier, car elles ont toutes décidé de se faire religieuses. C'est ainsi que la maison se transforme en couvent et que les nouvelles moniales font voeu de chasteté, de pauvreté et d'obéissance, avec leur père pour abbé.
Caractère. D'allure fière, un peu hautaine, ce sont des êtres très séduisants. D'esprit combatif, l'adversité les renforce. Curieux, passsionnés, ils s'intéressent à tout. Calculateurs, rusés, ils arrivent toujours à leur fins. Imaginatifs, créatifs, ils font beaucoup de projets. Ils ont le sens des affaires et de l'argent.
