Provenance. Vient du germain "ed et win" Signifie "richesse et ami" Se fête le 12 octobre.
Histoire. Couronné roi de Northumbrie, Angleterre, en 617, Edwin épouse une princesse chrétienne et se convertit à sa demande après beaucoup d'hésitations. Il favorise cependant l'évangélisation de son pays et meurt lors d'une bataille contre les Gallois, en 633.
Caractère. Ils sont souvent grands et élégants, bien dans leur peau. Conformistes, ils sont attachés aux traditions et aux valeurs familiales. Directs, sans détours, ils disent toujours ce qu'ils pensent, même si cela doit choquer. Travailleurs organisés, obstinés, ils luttent jusqu'à ce que le but soit atteint. Attentifs, discrets, chaleureux, ce sont des compagnons que l'on garde.
