Provenance. Forme féminine d 'Alfred. Vient du germain "al et frido" Signifie "tout et paix" Se fête le 15 août.
Histoire. Moine et écolâtre de l'abbaye de Corwey, en Saxonnie, Alfred devient évêque d'Hilessheim. Promoteur de la paix et de la bienveillance, on le surnomme "le tout pacifique", il est l'ami de Louis II le germanique qui lui confie des missions diplomatiques délicates. Il meurt le 15 août 874.
Caractère. Esprit intelligent et indépendant, elles n'aiment pas les contraintes. Créatives, imaginatives, elles ont le goût des responsabilités. Ce sont des êtres sensibles, discrètes, peu bavardes, reconnues pour être des femmes d'action et de conviction. Méfiantes, refusant les idées reçues, elles sont plutôt anti-conformistes et insoumises.
