Provenance. Prénom dérivé de Jeanne. Vient de l'hébreu "yo et hânan" Signifie : "Dieu est miséricordieux" Se fête le 8 ou le 30 mai.
Histoire. Née à Domrémy dans les Vosges en 1412, pendant la guerre de Cent Ans, Jeanne d'Arc contraint les anglais à lever le siège d'Orléans, le 8 mai 1429. Elle fait sacrer le roi Charles VII à Reims. Faite prisonnière à Compiègne, elle est livrée aux anglais, puis jugée et brûlée vive à Rouen, le 30 mai 1431.
Caractère. Courageuses, loyales, ce sont des femmes d'action organisées et efficaces. On peut leur faire confiance sans réserve et compter sur elles lorsqu'il s'agit de rendre service. Travailleuses infatigables, elles épuisent leur entourage qui s'essouffle à vouloir les suivre. Obstinées, peu tolérantes, car elles seules détiennent la vérité, elles sont difficiles à diriger, parfois agressives et réagissent au quart de tour.
