Provenance. Prénom dérivé de Léa. Vient du latin "lea", signifie "lionne" Se fête le 22 mars.
Histoire. Sainte Léa, riche veuve romaine, fut une disciple de saint Jérôme. Elle donne tous ses biens aux pauvres et se retire pour mener une vie monastique près de Rome, où elle meurt en 384. Dans la Bible, Léa est la première femme de Jacob et mère de sept enfants. Elle vécut en Israël, dix huit siècles avant notre ère.
Caractère. Plutôt conformistes, ce sont des femmes fidèles aux traditions. Parfois coléreuses et pas toujours faciles, elles ont cependant un sens du dévouement et du service très profond. Spontanées, directes, leur simplicité et leur sens du "vrai" en font des femmes attachantes auxquelles on peut faire confiance sans réserve. Elles trouvent leur bonheur dans le partage et les valeurs familiales.
