Provenance. Prénom dérivé de Matthias. Vient de l'hébreu "matith et yâh" Signifie : "don de Dieu" Se fête le 14 mai.
Histoire. Matthias était l'un des soixante douze disciples qui avaient suivi Jésus pendant tout son ministère public. Après la trahison de Judas, il fut désigné comme le treizième apôtre pour le remplacer. Il serait mort martyr. Ses reliques se trouvent à Trèves, en Allemagne.
Caractère. Plutôt exubérants, chaleureux, généreux, mais au caractère difficile, ils ont une volonté un peu fluctuante. Il faut souvent les forcer pour aller au bout des choses. Passionnés, ils travaillent avec obstination s'ils sont intéressés. Assez influençables, ils n'osent jamais dire "non", car ils ne veulent pas déplaire. Affectueux, tendres, ce sont de grands sentimentaux. Charmeurs, ils sont coutumiers des coups de foudre et des coups de coeur.
