Provenance. Vient de l'hébreu "netha" Signifie : "le don... de Dieu" Se fête le 24 Août.
Histoire. Prophète, Nathan vit à la cour de David, en Israël, dix siècles avant la venue de Jésus Christ. Conseiller du roi, il annonce à David la pérennité de sa dynastie et réussit à imposer Salomon lors de sa succession. Les "Nathan" sont fêtés avec les "Nathanaël" ou "Barthélémy", en raison de la même origine étymologique.
Caractère. D'une solidité à toute épreuve, volontaires, fonceurs, rien ne les arrête lorsqu'ils se sont fixé un but, mais leur activité est assez en dents de scie. Ils ont une sainte horreur de la monotonie. Leur confiance en eux est presque insolente. Très sociables, ils ont un sens profond de l'amitié et l'esprit de service. Curieux, intelligents, ils aiment sortir des sentiers battus. Ils sont sentimentaux et rêveurs à leurs heures.
