Provenance. Vient de l'hébreu "Immanouel" Signifie: "Dieu est avec nous" Se fête le 25 décembre
Histoire. C'est l'Eglise qui décide en 353 que la naissance de Jésus serait fêtée le 25 décembre. Jusqu'à cette date, Noël est célébré le jour de l'Epiphanie. Cette célébration remplace une grande fête païenne, instituée par l'empereur Aurélien, représentant du soleil parmi les hommes, pour commémorer la victoire du jour sur la nuit. En usage au Moyen Age, ce prénom se donnait aux enfants nés le jour de Noël.
Caractère. De nature discrète et douce, très consciencieuses, elles aiment le travail bien fait. Exigeantes avec elles-mêmes, ordonnées, elles savent se montrer fermes. Elles ne manquent pas d'autorité et se font respecter aisément. Méfiantes, faisant preuve d'une certaine réserve, elles ne donnent pas leur confiance facilement, mais sont très fidèles en amitié comme en amour.
