Provenance. Vient du germain "odo et win" Signifie: "riche et ami" Se fête le 22 août.
Histoire. Ovin est l'intendant de la princesse Ethelred, la future fondatrice de l'illustre abbaye d'Ely en Angleterre. A l'instar de sa maîtresse, Ovin quitte tout pour se faire moine au monastère saint Chad, dans le Yorkshire et y meurt saintement à la fin du VIIème siècle.
