Provenance. Forme russe de Paul. Vient du latin "paulus" Signifie : "petit, faible" Se fête le 29 juin.
Histoire. Né en Turquie, vers l'année 5 ou 10 de notre ère, juif et citoyen romain, Paul vient étudier et travailler à Jérusalem. Là,il rencontre et persécute les premiers chrétiens. Converti à la suite d'une apparition du Christ, il se fait baptiser et devient l'apôtre des païens. Il passe sa vie à voyager et à évangéliser. Arrêté, il est condamné et exécuté à Rome, vers 67.
Caractère. Leur forte personnalité inspire le respect. Ce sont des hommes d'action, entreprenants, opiniâtres jusqu'à l'entêtement. D'apparence autoritaire, ils ne font en fait que masquer une certaine timidité. En privé, ce sont des tendres, en public, ils sont plutôt agressifs et pas très faciles. Travailleurs, perfectionnistes, ils ont une morale exigeante. Ce sont de bons vivants qui respirent la vie à pleins poumons.
