Provenance. Variante de Rodrigue. Vient du germain "hrod et rik" Signifie : "gloire et puissant" Se fête le 13 mars.
Histoire. Né à Cordoue, en Espagne, Rodrige est ordonné prêtre clandestinement sous l'occupation des Sarrasins. Il est dénoncé par son propre frère, musulman. Refusant d'apostasier, il est jeté en prison où il retrouve Salomon, un chrétien qui avait cédé sous la torture. Se réconfortant mutuellement, ils sont mis à mort tous les deux, le 13 mars 857 .
Caractère. Malgré leur sang-froid et leur sérénité affichés, ils ne peuvent pas dissimuler leur caractère passionné. Discrets, voire secrets, ils possèdent une vie intérieure riche. Ce sont des hommes de conviction. Travailleurs et volontaires, ils sont aussi têtus et ne changent pas d'avis facilement. Ils se fient beaucoup à leur intuition. Leur force tranquille rassure leur entourage. Ils adorent la vie de famille qu'ils privilégient avant tout.
