Provenance. Forme bretonne de Rose. Vient du latin "rosa", signifie : "fleur de rose" Se fête le 23 août.
Histoire. Sainte Rose de Lima, née dans cette ville au XVIème siècle, est la patronne de l'Amérique Latine. Fille d'un colon espagnol et d'une métisse, Isabelle d'Oliva est surnommée Rose à cause de son teint clair, assez insolite pour une petite péruvienne. Elle se fit religieuse dominicaine à l'âge de vingt ans sous le nom de Rose-Marie. Ses expériences mystiques la firent exclure de la communauté des religieuses qu'elle troublait. Elle finit, seule, recluse et incomprise en 1617.
Caractère. Ce sont des passionnées, la tiédeur n'est pas faite pour elles. Ne leur jouez pas des tours, car elles sont rancunières. Leur autorité naturelle inspire le respect. D'allure simple et sportive, accueillantes et sociales, ce sont des femmes de conviction, au caractère décidé. Attention aux colères, car elles sont impulsives . L'esprit de tolérance, de générosité et de service les anime toujours.
