Provenance. Diminutif d'Alexandrine. Vient du grec "Alexein et Andros" Signifie : "Protéger et Homme, viril" Se fête 2 avril.
Histoire. Née en 1385 à Sulmona, en Italie, Alessandrina rejoint les religieuses clarisses, à l'âge de 15 ans. Plus tard, elle fond, avec l'appui du Pape Martin V un monastère dont elle sera la première abbesse et qui reprend toutes les exigences de pauvreté et de vie spirituelle de la règle de Sainte Claire. Elle meurt le 2 avril 1458.
Caractère. Courageuses, elles possèdent une robustesse intérieure à toute épreuve. Energiques, droites, elles sont entreprenantes et ne baissent jamais les bras tant que le but n'est pas atteint. Intelligentes, curieuses, travailleuses, elles savent aussi se détendre quand il le faut. Féminines, coquettes, elles ne passent pas inaperçues.
