Provenance. Vient du grec "sophia" Signifie "sagesse" Se fête le 25 mai.
Histoire. Sainte Sophie est née à Joigny en 1779. Eduquée par son parrain prêtre, elle fonde les soeurs du Sacré Coeur, communauté de religieuses éducatrices. Aujourd'hui, de nombreuses écoles catholiques portent ce nom. Elle meurt le 25 mai 1865.-la première sainte Sophie remonte au IIème siècle. Mère de Véra, Nadège et Liubbe, elle aurait subit le martyre avec ses trois filles sous le règne d'Hadrien. On la fête le 18 septembre. Ce prénom est aussi attribué aux enfants arabes.
Caractère. Elles sont plutôt flegmatiques, indécises, souvent renfermées sur elles-mêmes. Franches, elles n'aiment pas la dissimulation. Elles ont beaucoup d'humour et la répartie facile. Réfléchies, elles n'agissent pas à la légère. Généreuses, elles ont le coeur sur la main. Les changements les effraient un peu ; au contraire, les habitudes les rassurent. En dehors de leur moments de bouderie, elles sont gaies et enjouées. Ce sont des femmes d'un seul amour.
